If you are new to a fire career, we encourage you to speak with our current firefighters about the job. Your next step on this journey is to obtain your EMT-B and Hazmat OPS certifications. Adams County Fire Rescue is part of the Colorado Firefighter Testing Consortium (CO-FIRE), a consortium of multiple fire districts formed to help with testing of entry-level firefighter positions. Welcome to Adams County Fire Rescue. We are excited that you are interested in joining our team. At ACFR, we feel that we have a “family” environment that encourages all employees to perform at their best. Our goal is to enhance the lives of our district residence through, prevention, fire protection and investigations, emergency medical services, technical rescue and hazardous material response.
Who We Are
ACFR is a career firefighter, emergency medical services support district. All line staff have a minimum certification of Firefighter 1, EMT-B and Hazmat OPS. All administrative staff functions support the mission of the organization through internal and external customer care, either through direct support of the district or through support of the line staff.
