Behind the Badge

Our Behind the Badge series continues with a feature on Firefighter Katie Bender. From having a successful career in the fire service, to creating and maintaining multiple businesses, to being a mom to two active twins, Katie literally does it all. And with grace we might add! She also found time along the way to be in the Colorado Firefighter Calendar….

ACFR Member of the Year

We would like to pass on our congratulations to ACFR Member of the Year Lieutenant James Martinez Jr.

Lt. Martinez’s passion for his profession and his commitment to the organization has always been consistent throughout his career. In 2021, he raised the bar for himself, joining our training division as a Training Coordinator, and also being a member of the North Area Academy Cadre group. When asked what sets Jim apart from others, the word “leadership” comes up a lot. He is a true leader within our ranks.
