Douglas Schwindt was appointed EMS Captain in March 2025. He previously has been actively involved in EMS field training for the fire service since 2003. Captain Schwindt started his Fire/EMS career in 1982 and has been a paramedic since 1988 and is currently a State of Colorado Licensed NREMT Paramedic. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with honors obtaining a Masters degree in Emergency Management with an emphasis in Occupational Health and Safety.  Additionally, Captain Schwindt  has earned Business Administration Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix.
