Adams County Fire Rescue understands the serious threat wildland fires pose, and the fear they can bring to our community and those who pass through our district everyday. Our dedicated Wildland Team has invested thousands of hours into training, preparation, and mitigation efforts to ensure we are ready to respond when needed. We collaberate closely with Adams County to identify and mitigate hazardous areas along rivers and open spaces, further reducing the risk of fire in these vunerable locations. In addition, we partner with our Fire Prevention Division to ensure properties throughout the district are properly maintained and meet fire safety standards.

Through rigorous training and a commitment to excellence, our Wildland Team has become not only a trusted resource, but also a recognized asset at the state and national levels. We are fully equipped to handle wildland incidents within our district and are proud to deploy in support of large state and national fire responses. Our mission is to protect lives, property, and natural resources through proactive planning and a rapid, skilled response to wildland fire threats.
